Since the first event in 2000, SNUG Israel established itself as “the technical conference for techies”, the best place to share and learn from each other’s design and verification experience.  And it is also a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues and friends!

SNUG is a technical conference, with a program that comprises  user presentations and tutorials. Vision sessions try to decipher where the never ending challenges of our dynamic industry are leading design solutions and methodologies.

SNUG Israel 2011 program addresses the hot topics in VLSI/FPGA design through six parallel tracks. Here are just a few highlights:
Eshel Haritan and Janick Bergeron from Synopsys will present “a view from the top”, talking about system level design and verification challenges and solutions. Tutorials and user presentations will follow, covering virtual platforms, prototyping, ARC and FPGA, IPs, memories and logic libraries (Virage) and High Level Synthesis.

The verification track features a UVM1.0 tutorial by Janick Bergeron, as well as user presentations focusing on low power verification, VMM and SoC solutions. The track is completed by an advanced low power verification tutorial.

“How long until we hit the (power) wall?” – Godwin Maben from Synopsys will try to answer this tricky and challenging question. Other interesting implementation sessions will address exploration flows with DC Explorer, fast convergence methodologies, static timing analysis solutions, low power design experience and design for test.

Custom Design solutions will be presented in a joint session by Ofer Tamir and Nisim Cohen of TowerJazz and Rudy Walter of Synopsys. An analog mixed-signal tutorial will provide updates on HSpice parallel and CustomSim.

In keeping with SNUG tradition, the conference will end with the Best Paper Award ceremony, followed by the prize draws and a relaxed farewell cocktail.
SNUG Israel technical committee, authors, presenters and organizers are looking forward to welcome you!
